OUR ACHIEVEMENT/CHALLENGES
IHMON, since it inception has contributed immensely to the enlightenment of the Muslims in Western Nigeria and the
world over, with well over two thousand (2000) converts and reverts to Islam. There are efforts intensified to improve on
this figure with her weekly public lectures.
However, one of the challenges in this direction is the inability to cater for the economic and educational needs of
these converts and reverts due to her meager financial resources. A number of Non-Muslims have made confessions as to their
willingness to embrace Islam but for lack of adequate care for their economic and social educational needs, they tend to withdraw
even after being fully convinced about the true message of Islam.
IHMON established the Nursery and Primary School to cater for the educational needs to the Muslim wards. This we believe
can right the wrongs of the western civilization posing a threat ti the doctoring of Islam. IHMON recently acquired four (4)
plots of land in Ogijo Sagamu, Ogun State to build
a modern state of the art Central Mosque and School Complex. The acquisition of the land was a collective contribution from
members of NEC and general members.
The daunting challenge faced greatly by this movement is the inability to provide necessary equipment for the preachers
who have been trained for this task. Also, some dawah workers are willing to devote their time and energy to the cause of
Islam but eh onerous task is financial capacity of the movement which is still insufficient and calls for urgent support both
in cash and kind. We must emphasize that the training and education of the converts ad reverts has been a daunting challenge
which calls for a proper attention with corporate organizations as well as individual philanthropists coming to out aids.
The movement is facing the acute shortage of preachers to cater for our large branch expansion due to its limited resources
for training. The preaches statistics stood at four (4) National Head Lecturers, four (4) Assistant national Head Lecturers,
and four (4) State Branch Lecturers. The numbers fall short of the required numbers hence, the urgent need for recruitment
and training og preachers and dawah workers.
